Lifetime Collective Spring / Summer 2013

F

ounded in 2002 by myself and Reid Stewart , beneath a buzzing light bulb in a dingy basement suite, The Lifetime Collective™ began as a collaborative group of artists and friends. With clothing as the main focus, our brand was inspired by the communities they live in, the places we travel to, and the curious characters that surround us. It was a family-spirited operation receptive to ideas that are shifting and paths that are twisting.
More than a “brand of lifestyle,” Lifetime was defined by the changes that occur and the creative ways we adapt. In fact, the theme of Lifetime should have been, “a work in progress,” as it was ever-changing and far from finished, a dream never fully realized.

Lifetime Collective Spring/Summer 2013 campaign

"Nowhere to go but everywhere..." In a sprawling city of constant, chaotic motion, you can only move with it. From the moment we arrived, Bangkok’s intensity grabbed us like a fever. Bedazzled tuk-tuk rides, clogged up streets, the smells of unnamable foods. But you find a calm, climbing ancient temple steps or reclining with a can of Singha on a longtail boat. Or catching a famous Thai smile. There is a sacred organization to Bangkok’s madness. Call it dharma.

A few times we got more lost than we meant to. We escaped to the South to find the lore of empty beaches, overgrown resorts, and a never-ending museum of plant life. We greeted another sunset with a bottle (or two) of Sang-Som rum and we put a match to store-bought fireworks to celebrate it all.

Then we got up again and hopped on some scooters to find those limestone cliffs that soar straight up out of emerald water. Trust us, it is as beautiful as they say it is. We felt wonderfully insane as we fell asleep on a bed of bamboo under a blanket of stars.

And somewhere between it all, we found our collection.

The Seasonal Video

When a couple receives an unusual gift from a mysterious sender that warps them on an epic journey they may not live to share. Come with us on the all new Lifetime Spring/Summer 2013 adventure shot on location in Thailand.
As with many Lifetime seasonal campaigns I would setup a co-produce video shoot. With this season we wanted to put a bit of a spin on it and make a fun little story to our adventures. We had always joked around with a time travel Idea and since we had plans of going all the way to Bangkok it felt like maybe it was about time.
